I know I just blogged a little bit ago. But I do have some good news to share. [Well, I think it's good anyway.]
I got back from my run about 20 minutes ago [give or take], and it was amazing!! When I first started this distance, I couldn't even run the whole dang thing. Then I got to running the distance non-stop, and it would take me over 20 minutes to run it. Over the weekend, I bought myself a nice little watch from Target that has a stop watch on it because I want to simply time myself and see the exact time it takes me to run. Once I started running today, I started the stopwatch. I felt like I was running so slow the first 2-3 minutes, but I just kept the pace because I didn't want to work myself too much in the beginning and feel like I wouldn't be able to make it to the end. A few more minutes go by and I see 7:40-something on my watch, and I was surprised because I didn't think I ran the distance I had done in that short period of time. I was proud of myself. I looked at the watch one or two more times before I saw I had a little over 14 minutes on my watch. I was shocked!! I barely had any distance left to run!! So I told myself Push for 15 minutes because you're almost there. Only two more corners to turn and you're on your street. Once I had about 500 feet or so left, I told myself Push yourself, Stephanie. Kick it in gear and sprint the rest of the way. I definitely sprinted down the street!! I made it in 15:11.22!! So that's pretty good!! Only 11.22 seconds over what my goal was!!
I still just can't get over what I have accomplished since June 1st!! It's amazing!! I am loving everything I have accomplished!! I've been working very hard at this, and I am so happy that it's showing!!
