Like every normal Thursday morning, I went for a run today. I decided to just go ahead and bump up the distance a little bit. Today, I ran 2.9 miles [in 35:42.31]!! I for sure thought I would've ran at least three miles, but it's okay that I was only one-tenth off.
It was a good run. I kept a steady pace for at least 90% of the run, which isn't too bad. I started slowing down when I was running against the wind as it was blowing pretty hard and it started to drizzle a little bit. But once I got past that, I started to pick the pace back up.
Let me tell you though, it was pretty cold when I went for my run. It was cold enough for me to have to put on my long-sleeved Under Armour shirt. Yeah, I wasn't too happy about that - it's July for cryin' out loud, not October!!
I am definitely working toward my goal of being able to run 5 miles!! I think I'll be able to run at least 5 miles before October, no problem - granted something doesn't happen and keeps me from being able to run 3 days a week, every week.
Also, I think I will be reaching my weight goal that I set for September real soon. And once I reach that weight, I'll have to set a new weight goal for September. I am very happy with all of the hard work I've been putting in!! It's really showing and paying off!!

I'm getting close to mine. Still 15lbs to go. But really, I would be happy at this weight if I were just toned to the max. Ya know?
Anyway, keep it up! I look forward to your posts! And I love seeing how much you've improved! Keeps me motivated!

ReplyDeleteThe weather here has been really lame lately, but I guess it's in a way helping me - I'll be able to run in crappy weather, but running in good weather will seem like nothing.
I hear you, Jackie, on the weight/being toned thing. If I didn't have so much "flab", I think I'd look a million times better at this weight than I do. I hope to lose 5-10 more pounds by September, but with the way things've been going, I'll probably get there by the end of the month/beginning of August. HA. I'd really like to lose 25-30 more pounds [from where I'm at right now], but if I only can lose 15-20, I'd still be happy.
