It's been a while.

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. Sorry about that. It's also been a while since I've actually done one of my workouts. But don't worry, I'm still moving around and keeping myself busy, but just not in the weight-lifting-ab-crunching-cardio-crazy way. One week out of every month, I just try to keep it down to a light, simple workout, then change my workout for the following three weeks. So the first week of March, I kept it fairly simple. Then this last week, I've just been doing a lot of yardwork. So the yardwork has kept me busy. But it's been nice doing the yardwork. I've been lifting 8-foot long landscaping timbers, carrying them from the car to the backyard, cutting some of those timbers with a saw, sanding and drilling holes, staining and finishing, then carrying the timbers back to the front yard and hammering 12-inch "nails" through the holes I drilled and into the ground. And that's just the work I've done with the landscaping timbers. I've also ripped weeds, old plants, and flowerbed "fabric" out of a flowerbed, aerated a flowerbed, sprayed weed killer in the flowerbed, fertilized the front yard, put down some grass seed in a few areas where there's no grass, and a bunch of other outdoor stuff. Inside, I've taken doors off of hinges, sanded, stained, and finished the doors, then put them back on the hinges. I've taken things off of walls in the house, patched the holes up, and sanded them down. So I'm still getting some "working out" done while I'm getting this house all taken care of before we have to move in 2-3 months. I may be slacking a little bit though since I'm not lifting weight, doing ab work, riding my bike, or running, but I am still doing things to keep me moving, lifting heavy objects, and breaking a sweat. I just can't wait to start painting the walls back to white because I really get into painting to the point where I sweat like crazy. HA.

My eating habits, however, have been just a little bit less than fabulous lately. I think it's because Mark's about to deploy in two months [give or take], and I'm just not looking forward to it. We've been through two deployments already, and right around 2-3 months before Mark deployed each time, I've just gotten into a bad mood, and, as a normal female, eating just a little bit more than usual isn't too uncommon for me. It's bad and unhealthy that it happens, but I can honestly say that I haven't gone overly crazy with the eating. I'm just eating foods that aren't 100% healthy. I'm really trying to stop that nonsense though, and I've done okay so far. I've got some more work to do though with that, and I won't give up.

Other than that, I've got nothing else. Once I'm done with the yardwork and finishing the doors in the house, I'll have to put pictures up so you all can see the pretty work. HA.
